HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - A longtime Aiea restaurant has shut down for good amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Officials confirmed Thursday that Monterey Bay Canners is permanently closed.
The seafood restaurant, which overlooks the Sumida watercress farm, had been open for years at Pearlridge Center.
It joins a growing list of restaurants that struggled to stay afloat in the current economic downturn.
