HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Shark warning signs are up at Makaha Beach Park after a large shark was seen Sunday.
Officials say the shark was about 400 yards offshore. No injuries were reported.
Lifeguards are alerting beachgoers up and down the coast. The sighting was reported around 2 p.m.
Conditions will be reassessed at sunset to determine if the waters are safe for swimmers.
