HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - The state is seeking public input on a plan for a 2,800-acre wilderness area in Central Oahu.

The state acquired the forest and former agricultural last in 2018.

The plan for the Helemano Wilderness Area is designed to serve as a tool to promote recreation across the vast acreage while also preserving its natural beauty.
