Newly-appointed state adjutant general to step into role in December

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Brig. Gen. Kenneth S. Hara is slated to serve as the state’s adjutant general, overseeing the Hawaii Department of Defense, effective Dec. 6.

Hara has been appointed to replace Maj. Gen. Arthur Logan, who is retiring.

Hara has served as the deputy adjutant general since January 2019, and previously served in command positions in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan.

Hara’s appointment is subject to Senate approval.
