Emergency siren malfunction reported near Mokuleia

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) -An emergency siren malfunctioned Friday morning on Oahu’s North Shore.

Officials said the siren was sounding in Waialua near the Mokuleia Airfield intersection of Olohio Street and Farrington Highway. It was reported around 8:40 a.m.

Officials confirmed there was no emergency threat.

Personnel are responding to investigate. It’s not yet known what caused the siren to sound.
