HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Kuhio Avenue reopened Monday morning following the break of a 16-inch water main in Waikiki.
Eastbound lanes were shut down near Kalaimoku Street and drivers were being re-routed onto Olohana Street.
The break was first reported shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Crews worked overnight and had the repairs finished around 5:30 a.m. Monday.
At one point, the Board of Water Supply said La Casa, the Ritz-Carlton, and King Kalakaua Plaza were impacted, but service has since been restored.
