Diver who died after being pulled from Kahala waters identified

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - A diver who was pulled from waters off Kahala over the weekend and later died has been identified.

On Monday, the medical examiner identified the 46-year-old man as Brian Brauer of Denver, Colo.

He was found unconscious around 10 a.m. Saturday at Kahala Beach Park.

Members of his dive group pulled him from the water and started CPR on a boat.

He was brought to shore and taken to a hospital where he later died.
