Trial set to begin for man accused in 2017 deadly beating

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - The trial for the suspect in a 2017 deadly beating in Mililani is scheduled to begin Monday.

Shane Dilwith is accused of punching Thomas Morikawa at the Jungle Juice Market on Waihau Street on Dec. 8, 2017.

Morikawa fell and hit his head — and later died.

Dilwith was indicted for manslaughter and was captured in Arizona in May 2018.
