HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Firefighters helped to mop up a large oil spill in the Ala Moana area on Thursday morning that snarled traffic for hours.
The spill, which happened about 11 a.m., closed Piikoi Street from Kapiolani Boulevard to Rycroft Street.
Some 23 firefighters responded to the spill, caused when a West Oahu Aggregate truck sprung a hydraulic leak. Oil also had to be mopped up on Keeaumoku Avenue.
