Apparent drowning in Keaukaha leaves a man in his 20s dead

HAWAII ISLAND, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) -Hawaii County Firefighters said a man in his 20s died after an apparent drowning on the Big Island.

The emergency call came in around 11 a.m. Saturday morning. Crews rushed to an area known as Ice Pond in Keaukaha.

First responders said bystanders pulled him out of the water and emergency crews performed CPR.

He was unable to be revived.

His identity has not been released.
