HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are searching for 58-year-old Renato Cruz.

He is wanted on a $25,000 warrant of arrest for second- and third-degree theft and seven counts of second-degree forgery.

Cruz opened a checking account at the Central Pacific Bank on South King Street in November 2018. He deposited and withdrew checks from an unauthorized business account.

Police arrested him for forgery in the second degree.

Police say he has 13 prior convictions and is known to frequent the Honolulu area.
