The fire began around noon on Wednesday along Coral Sea Road. HFD sent seven units and 17 personnel to the fire.
They were assisted by the Federal Fire Department and State Airport Fire Fighters, and had the fire under control just before 1 p.m.
Upon closer investigation, HFD said the fire was intentional and the case was handed over to Honolulu police.
With the dry summer months nearing, it doesn’t take much to start a raging blaze.
