Police investigating serious pedestrian crash in Kailua

OAHU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are investigating a crash in Kailua that left a pedestrian in serious condition on Monday night.
Emergency Medical Services said a female was crossing Oneawa Street around 9 p.m. when she was hit by a vehicle.
The road was closed in both directions for nearly an hour as emergency crews worked to treat the patient and clear the scene.
An investigation is underway into exactly what happened.
