HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) -Supporters of the Wounded Warriors Ohana tried to set a world record Saturday, but fell short in their quest.
They put on their rubber slippers for a 1K charity walk. Their goal was to break the record for most walkers wearing slippers during an event.
Unfortunately, they didn’t beat the world record, but they did set a state record with about 300 walkers.
This was the inaugural “Wounded Warrior Ohana Rubber Slippah Walk.”
The group plans to try again next year to break the world record.
