HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down an SUV that is believed to have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Waikiki earlier this month.
The suspect vehicle is a dark, older model Saturn Vue with faded gray plastic bumper trims.
The fatal hit-and-run happened May 2 on Kalakaua Avenue fronting the Waikiki Aquarium.
The victim ― 23-year-old Patrick Amor ― was crossing the roadway when he was struck about 10:30 p.m. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, and later died.
Police had earlier said that the victim was believed to have been hit by a pickup truck, but investigators later determined the truck was not involved.
Anyone with information on the case should call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or the HPD Vehicular Homicide section at 723-3413.
