HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A typical trade wind pattern is settling in over the islands for the next several days, with the usual passing clouds and showers for windward and mauka areas, mainly at night and in the mornings. Showers should remain on the light side. Trade winds will generally be in the 10-15 mile per hour range, with rather warm daytime high temperatures in the mid to upper 80′s.
At the beach, the current south swell is gradually lowering, with the next southwest bump expected Saturday. Surf will remain very small for north shores through the week, with a small northwest swell this weekend. East shores will also remain small, but could increase a little over the next few days as the trade winds pick up speed.
