Carol Burnett on former co-star Tim Conway: ‘He’ll be in my heart forever'

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - “He was one in a million.”

That’s how comedian Carol Burnett described her former co-star Tim Conway on Tuesday.

Conway died Tuesday at the age of 85 in Los Angeles.

Conway enjoyed a prolific career in film and television that spanned across five decades.

He played Ensign Charles Parker in the 1960s sitcom “McHale’s Navy” and was one of the featured performers on “The Carol Burnett Show.”

“I’m heartbroken,” part-time Hawaii resident Carol Burnett said, in a statement to Hawaii News Now.

"He was one in a million, not only as a brilliant comedian but as a loving human being, I cherish the times we had together both on the screen and off. He’ll be in my heart forever.”
