HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - After stepping down as the head coach of the CFL’S Hamilton Tiger-Cats following the 2018 season to be the team’s offensive coordinator, June Jones is making another move to the XFL.

Jones, 67, has accepted the head coaching position for the XFL’s Houston franchise. The former Rainbow Warrior football head coach will also serve as the franchise’s general manager.

Jones spent two years with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The XFL is set to kickoff in February 2020 after an 18-year hiatus following the league's only season in 2001.

In addition to his new position in the XFL, Jones will have coached in the USFL, NCAA, NFL and CFL.
