HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -An unknown amount of oil leaked from an abandoned vessel at the Ala Wai Boat Harbor.
Sunday morning, Department of Health officials received calls about the odor of oil near Slip 30.
At the docks, responders found the boat partially on its side.
The health department said a contractor cleaned up what they could of the spill using booms. The rest is expected to naturally dissipated.
The boat in question was impounded by the state last October.
Next steps will be coordinated with the DLNR.
