HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Ahead of the Rainbow Wahine water polo team’s NCAA Tournament quarterfinal matchup against California, the 'Bows are already facing some adversity.
Earlier today, two of the team’s vans were broken into with multiple bags stolen from the vehicle. The University of Hawaii at Manoa Athletics Department confirmed with Hawaii News Now that the bags contained headgear, game day clothes and other personal possessions along with some of the players passports.
The school said that passport replacement paperwork has already been filed.
Fortunately for Hawaii, the team has extra gear and will be ready for their quarterfinal matchup against California tomorrow morning at Stanford at 10:45 a.m. HT.
