All lanes of H-1 reopened after crashes snarl morning commute

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - All eastbound lanes of the H-1 Freeway were reopened after two separate crashes that snarled traffic during the morning commute.

Police said a crash near the Piikoi Street on-ramp, which was reported just before 5 a.m., involved a pedestrian. Police shut down multiple lanes, as well as the left lane of the Piikoi on-ramp.

Another crash, reported around 4:15 a.m., was near the Punahou Street exit.

Both crashes were cleared by 6 a.m.

Police have not released further details.
