Hanauma Bay set to reopen after sewage pump is repaired

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - After being closed since Monday, Hanauma Bay is set to reopen for the tail end of the week.
The city says the popular spot is set to reopen Thursday morning after repairs to a sewage pump were completed.
Hanauma Bay was closed Monday through Wednesday after the breakdown of the pump affected restrooms at the beach.
The closure is the latest in recent months, though those previous problems were linked to high bacteria levels.
