HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Rainbow Warrior baseball team took down Cal Poly 4-1 Sunday afternoon on the road to end their two-week road trip.
With the win, Hawaii improves to 20-24 (8-10 Big West). Logan Pouelsen delivered 7.0 quality innings on the mound, allowing just one run on three hits with three strikeouts for his third victory of the season. Dylan Thomas picked up the save after going the final 2.0 innings with three strikeouts without giving up a hit or run.
Thomas is now tied with Lenny Linsky for second in program history for career saves with 27, held by Gene Smith.
At the plate, Ethan Lopez went 2-for-5 with three RBIs while Scotty Scott went 3-for-5 with two runs scored.
Hawaii will return to Honolulu and have a week off from games before hosting UC Santa Barbara for the final home action of the season on May 17-19 at Les Murakami Stadium.
