HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Dan Ige looks set to make a quick turnaround back to UFC Octagon this summer.
The Haleiwa native is set to fight Kevin Aguilar in Greenville, South Carolina on June 22nd. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto first reported that the fight was “in the works” three days ago before Ige all but confirmed the fight date on Twitter.
Ige is currently on a three-fight win streak in the UFC featherweight division while Aguilar hasn’t lost a UFC bout in over five years, defeating Enrique Barzola back on March 20th to pick up his ninth-straight win.
As for Ige, he turned some heads in his most recent UFC bout with a quick finish over Danny Henry on March 16th, earning a performance of the night bonus in the process.
