HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Rainbow Wahine tennis star Petra Melounova made history today, earning her third-straight Big West Player of the Year award.

Maayan Sela, Nikola Dolakova, and Alzbeta Houbova all earned all-Big West honors for the 2019 season.

The junior became just the third player in Big West history to be named Player of the Year three times, joining Pacific's Susanne Bertel (1999, 2000, '02) and Long Beach State's Hannah Grady (2006-09).

Melounova was also named to the all-Big West first team for the third-consecutive season in both singles and doubles. Earlier this week, she received an automatic bid to the NCAA Singles Championship.
