Trapasso wins 500th game as ‘Bows take down Cal Baptist

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Rainbow Warrior baseball head coach Mike Trapasso picked up his 500th win for the ‘Bows in a 6-2 win over Cal Baptist Tuesday night on the road.

Hawaii (19-22) scored six runs the first two innings to put the game out of reach early.

Freshman Li'i Pontes started on the mound for Hawaii, going 3.0 innings with two strikeouts and no runs on three hits.

Dominic DeMiero pitched two innings with two strikeouts out of the bullpen, followed by Calvin Turchin, Kash Koltermann and Dylan Thomas.

The Warriors have now won five of their last seven games as they take on Cal Poly in a three-game series this weekend.
