HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Coming off their first conference title victory in program history Saturday night, the Rainbow Warrior volleyball team was named the top seed in the NCAA Tournament this morning.
Clinching the No. 1 overall seed marks the first time that Hawaii (27-2) has been named the tournament’s top seed. This will also be Hawaii’s sixth appearance in the national tournament and first since 2017.
Defending national champion Long Beach State (26-2) is the No. 2 seed.
Both Hawaii and Long Beach State have byes into the May 2nd semifinals where the Warriors will face the winner of MPSF runner-up USC (18-10) and MIVA champion Lewis (25-5).
