HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Canada’s own Brooke Henderson became the first golfer to win the LOTTE Championships in back-to-back years and the first golfer to win the tournament twice after pacing the field during Saturday’s final round at Ko Olina.
Henderson hit two-under to secure the 2019 trophy, along with a cool $300,000 prize. Her two-under 70 left her finishing the tournament at 16-under, winning by four over Eun-Hee Ji.
The win also marked the 21-year-old’s first win of the season and the eighth of her career.
Henderson is now tied with Sandra Post, Mike Weir and George Knudson for the most LPGA or PGA Tour victories for a Canadian golfer.
