PAHOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii Island firefighters rushed out to a fire in the Pahoa District Saturday morning.
They responded to the home on Opakapaka Street around 4:40 a.m.
Upon their arrival, they found an abandoned home with flames pouring from the front windows. Live wires attached to the home were also arcing.
Some three engines staffed with 12 personnel fought the flames and had it fully extinguished just before 6 a.m.
The cause is currently unknown, but the flames reportedly caused $56,250 in damage to the structure.
The home was deemed abandoned and no injuries were reported.
