HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A musician in the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra is pleading for help after she lost one of “the most valuable possessions” she owns: her French horn.
Jamie Sanborn — who recently moved to the islands from the mainland and joined the symphony as a hornist — posted on Facebook on Monday night that both her horn and MacBook pro laptop were stolen from the trunk of a car.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. near Polo Beach on the North Shore, she said.
She said her life savings went into buying the horn, and is asking the public to help her track it down.
Other musicians say losing an instrument “is almost the worst thing that can happen to a musician, or an orchestra.”
Anyone who locates her instrument or laptop is asked to contact authorities.
