Hydrant repairs completed in Kahaluu; all lanes reopened

KAHALUU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Board of Water Supply crews have completed repairs to a fire hydrant water line that broke Monday morning.

The 6-inch fire hydrant water line broke around 5 a.m. along Kamehameha Highway near Johnson Road.

BWS said a Kahuku-bound lane of the highway was closed in the area, and traffic was contraflowed for most of the day.

By 2 p.m., repairs were completed and all lanes of traffic were reopened.
