HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - During the ongoing stabilization of hillsides along the Pali Highway, riders of TheBus were left wondering how it would impact their commute.

On Monday, TheBus announced that windward routes will utilize the Pali Highway contra-flow during morning and evening commutes.

Officials said service adjustments will affect the following routes:

· All-day Routes 55, 56, 57/57A, and 65

· Peak-hour express Routes 85 and 87

“Only specific trips shown on Routes 55, 56, 57/57A and 65 will operate via Nu‘uanu Valley and Pali Highway. All other scheduled trips will utilize the H-1 Freeway and Likelike Highway. For additional service to and from Nu‘uanu Valley, please use Route 4,” the city said in a news release.
