HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Winds will be light statewide for the next few days with mostly dry weather for Kauai and Oahu. However, Maui and the Big Island will have more clouds and showers, thanks to a persistent trough to the east. This weather pattern will continue into the weekend before the trough finally departs. Once that happens, we’re expecting stronger and cooler north to northeast winds and drier weather up and down the island chain.
Surf will be quiet into the weekend with no major swells expected. However, a moderate northwest swell could arrive Monday, with a larger, possible warning-level swell, coming in on Wednesday or Thursday. For now, no marine warnings are in effect.
