HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a two-car crash in Honolulu Sunday morning.
The call came in just before 10:15 a.m. for the accident located at Piikoi and Young Street.
According to paramedics, one person was pinned in the accident and needed assistance getting out of their vehicle.
Firefighters were able to pry open the door and the person was removed.
One witness said they saw a beige van going North on Piikoi run red light and smash into a BMW that was heading west on Young St.
A 66-year-old woman, the driver of the BMW, was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
Two others involved in the accident denied medical attention.
No other details surrounding the crash were available.
