HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Moanalua High School is back on top of the OIA.
Na Menehune took down Kailua High in overtime, 56-49, en route to the school’s sixth OIA title Wednesday night.
Everett Torres-Kahapea scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Surfriders in scoring, but his offensive output wasn’t enough to take down Na Menehune.
Isaiah Sugiura led the way for Moanalua with 15 points while DiAries McRaven tallied 12 points and nine boards of his own.
“It feels good being a champion,” said McRaven after the win. “We still got more to do. We still got the states. We’re gonna try to go as far as we can there.”
