HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Emergency crews rescued two kayakers who ran into trouble in waters off Mokulua Islands Monday.
Firefighters responded just before 6 p.m. with nine units, and 24 personnel.
“It was reported that two adult male kayakers were separated from their kayak and needed assistance. A Good Samaritan paddled out and met up with the kayakers keeping them safe,” HFD said in a news release.
HFD rescuers also paddled out and secured both of the men on rescue boards. They were eventually brought back to shore on jet skis and transferred to EMS care.
They were brought to an area hospital. Their conditions are were not immediately known.
