Turns out, Maui (and the rest of the state) really do love Toyota Tacomas

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Remember that hilarious viral video comedian Jo Koy made about Maui being the “world’s largest Toyota Tacoma dealership”?

“We got small ones! We got street customs! We got ugly ones!” Koy jokes.

Well, it turns out he was onto something.

A new analysis from EducatedDriver.org shows that Toyota is by far the most popular car brand in Hawaii.

And Toyota Tacomas? Well, they sell here at more than seven times the national average.

In fact, Hawaii is the only state in the nation where Toyota is the most popular car brand.

So what’s popular in other states?

California and Arizona are obsessed with Tesla.

Arkansas loves GMC ― and the GMC Yukon sells at over 400 percent the national average in the state.

New Yorkers are Infiniti fans and folks in Utah really like Volvo.
