HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A more than $500,000 repaving project involving more than ten Central Maui roads is scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
Work on the project, which includes repairs to popular thoroughfares in Wailuku and Kahului, will result in several months of weekday closures.
In Wailuku, the impacted roads include: Wili Place, Halewili Street, Alako Street, Ea Street and Ono Street.
The closures on Kahului will include Hanakai Street, Hanamau Street and Lalo Street. Parts of Hoohana Street and Hukilike Street will also be closed.
The work is expected to last through mid-April.
