HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It’s officially game week for the third annual Polynesian Bowl as some of the nation’s elite high school football players have arrived to Honolulu for this Saturday’s high school football all-star game at Aloha Stadium.

One hundred of some of the country’s biggest recruits and players will make up the rosters of Team Mauka and Team Makai.

For a look at the full roster for the 2019 Polynesian Bowl, that can be found here.

Of the 100 players, 26 of them played high school football in the islands - majority of which are listed as three-, four- and five-star recruits.

Roaming the sidelines for Team Makai will be Mike Bellotti, the winningest football coach in Oregon history and a College Football Hall of Fame inductee while Team Mauka will be coached by Jim Zorn, a former NFL quarterback and head coach.

Haloti Ngata of the Philadelphia Eagles and Juju Smith-Schuster of the Pittsburgh Steelers will serve as the game's honorary captains.

This year’s game features a new-look helmet and uniform, which was revealed by the Polynesian Bowl over the last few days online.

For many football fans, memories of Vili the Warrior roaming the sidelines of Aloha Stadium are still fresh in their memories.

But this Saturday, Vili will be back on the turf field in the ultimate blast from the past for college football fans and players coming from all parts of the country.

The 2019 Polynesian Bowl takes place this Saturday, January 19th and will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. HT. The game will also be rebroadcasted on Sunday, January 20th on KGMB following the AFC Championship game.
