HILO (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hawaiian music community has lost another beloved musician and entertainer.

This week, accomplished falsetto singer and ukulele player Diana Aki passed away on Hawaii Island.

She was loved by many and affectionately known as the “Songbird of Miloli’i.”

She performed with many well-known musicians including the late Cyril Pahinui and Eddie Kamae. Her popular songs included “Songbird” and “Manao Pili”.

In 1990, she was named Female Vocalist of the Year at the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.

Services for the late Aunty Diana Aki will take place on (Tuesday) January 15, 2019 at Dodo Mortuary in Hilo. Viewing at...

KWXX, Hilo’s Hawaiian music radio station, reports that services will take place on Jan. 15 at the Dodo Morturary in Hilo. She was 76 years old.
