Passing showers this morning, mainly windward and mauka. But some of the wet is making it leeward. There will be some sunshine and blue sky. Expect a high in Honolulu around 88 degrees.
A high pressure ridge north of the islands will keep a breezy trade wind weather pattern across the Hawaiian Islands through Thursday. Clouds and showers will move across each island favoring windward and mountain areas with brief periods of showers drifting over leeward sections. Wind speeds may decrease on Friday as a deepening upper low weakens the ridge north of the islands.
Surf is up a bit along east shores due to the trade winds. South shores will get some new energy tomorrow and see reinforcements several times this week. Waves today are 4-7 feet east, 1-3 feet south, 2 feet or less north and west.
Small Craft Advisory for all channels, Maalaea Bay, and coastal waters south and west of the Big Island.
