Due to an approaching cold front, the trade winds will disappear today on Kauai and Oahu. Maui County and the Big Island may hang on to them a bit longer. We are transitioning to light southeasterly winds that will bring humid and hazy conditions to the islands. Convergence in advance of the front will create increasing showers for Kauai as early as Saturday night. Oahu will see the wetter weather Sunday. There will be a slight chance of thunderstorms.
Country swell slowly declining, but a big swell is due Friday night peaking Saturday. High Surf Advisory is likely.
