Residents urged to use water sparingly after main break

HONOKAI HALE (KHNL) - BWS crews are on the scene of a 24-inch water main break off Farrington Highway near Honokai Hale. Crews are digging to expose the main break and work is expected to last through tomorrow.

Because the main is used to fill Leeward coast reservoirs, BWS is urging all residents from Honokai Hale to Makaha, to use water sparingly and for priority needs only. This means using water for cooking, drinking and personal hygiene.

Residents should not do laundry, water lawns, or wash cars at this time.
