Rainbows win 3 of 4 against Mississippi State

MANOA (KHNL) - The Rainbows baseball team improved to .500 (6-6) on the season on Sunday, after their 11-5 victory over 26th ranked, Mississippi State at Les Murakami Stadium.

The Warriors jumped out to an early 5-run lead in the 3rd inning and never trailed in the game.

UH's Vinnie Catricala had two hits and drove in the games first run, while Landon Hernandez finished one for two and scored two runs.

It's the Rainbows third straight victory, as the win three of four from the Bulldogs.  UH is now 6-6 on the season.

Up next, the Rainbows host Loyola Marymount in a 4-game series, which begins on Thursday and runs thru Sunday.
