MANOA (KHNL) - The Rainbow Wahine basketball team wouldn't let this game slip away. Not on "Senior Night" in the home finale, for seniors, Catherine Cho, Tara Hittle and Ebony Jones.
Hawaii scored with nine seconds left to win the game 68-67 over Boise State on Sunday.
The Rainbows trailed by four points, but Megan Tinnin hit a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 67-66. After a Boise State turnover, Keisha Kanekoa made a layup with nine seconds left to give Hawaii the victory.
With the win, the Rainbows improve to 7-21 overall and 4-11 in the WAC.
UH honored three seniors, Catherine Cho, Tara Hittle and Ebony Jones, following the game, which was the perfect way to end the night.
The Rainbows wrap up their regular season Saturday, March 7 at Nevada. Following that game, UH will stay in Reno for the WAC Tournament, which begins Tuesday, March 10.
