Divina graduated PT school in 1990 from Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida. She began her PT experience with Acute Care at University Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL treating spinal cord, head and orthopedic injuries, back surgeries. Exploring the rehabilitation field she worked at Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital in Sunrise, FL, primarily with geriatric population, total joint replacements, stroke and head injuries. "Growing up in Florida gave me the itch to travel somewhere with "seasons," so my husband and I headed for Colorado where I gained more experience in an out patient clinic treating primarily total knee replacements, ACL reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs and back pain." There she began practicing home care with the geriatric clients. Adding traveling PT to her career she traveled the country gaining multiple experiences in the home care setting and nursing home facilities. Her final traveling experience was here on Kauai in 1998 where she stayed to raise her "two awesome boys." She dedicated her career to home health care. " I realized Home Care was truly my "niche" for physical therapy...equipment assessments and procurement and transition clients back to a normal life then to "out patient" when they are no longer home bound. " I love the people and the culture of Kauai, quality family time, music, hiking, biking, camping, the beach, spending time in Kokee, and playing with our pet turtle named Iki. "
