Special election for Honolulu City Council seat will be April 23

HONOLULU (KHNL) - The Honolulu City Council passed a resolution Wednesday afternoon calling for a  special election for Honolulu City Council District 3 on April 23. The seat became vacant when Councilmember Barbara Marshall lost her battle with cancer and passed away on Sunday. 

Honolulu's Council District 3 consists of Waimanalo, Kailua and most of Kaneohe.

March 9    Last day to file Nomination Papers

March 24    Voter Registration Deadline

April 6-21    Absentee Walk-in Voting at City Hall

April 16    Last Day to Request Absentee Mail Ballots

April 23    Last Day for Ballots to be received (Election Ends)
