At the end of January they ended a six match losing streak with convincing wins over then 2nd ranked Cal State Northridge.
Last week, they had to overcome the flu!
Fortunately the Warriors had a bye last week allowing them to fully recover.
Now, the team is preparing for another tough matchup against 7th ranked Long Beach State this Thursday on the road.
And while UH is looking to move forward from their victories, they're taking more than just wins away from it.
"The biggest thing is getting the feeling of winning, and not just winning, back to back winning, not just taking as we won one, and we're done for the weekend, but knowing it takes being consistently focused and ready to play," said senior setter Sean Carney.
"We've been busy practicing, it's things we needed to do and we're grateful for it, and we're a young team so the more gym time the better," said head coach Mike Wilton.
"The practices this week, and ever since Northridge, everybody's confidence is up there so the rest of the season should be a lot better than the start," said sophomore outside hitter Brennon Dyer.
The Warriors leave for California on Wednesday, their match is set to begin at 5pm Hawaii time on Thursday.
