KAPOLEI, HI (KHNL) - One man is in stable condition after sustaining injuries in the apparent touchdown of a tornado around 1:00 PM Wednesday. Several eyewitnesses reported seeing the twister around the area of the Kapolei Golf Course.

The man, described as in his thirties, is reported to be an employee at the golf course. He was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital.

Sources at Kapolei Golf Course say that the roofs of both the main clubhouse and the golf cart shack were damaged by the tornado.

According to Hawaiian Electric Company, about 120 customers lost power in the same general area where the tornado was seen. There is no conclusive evidence that the outage was directly related to the storm.  Power was restored by 2:30 PM, so customers were without power for about 1 1/2 hours.
