Grounded Navy ship freed, returns to Pearl Harbor

PEARL HARBOR - (KHNL) The Navy freed USS Port Royal Monday morning after the guided missle cruiser spent three days aground about a half-mile south of Honolulu Airport. The pull began around 2 AM and the ship was freed in about 40 minutes.

The Navy, Coast Guard and the state Department of Health continue to monitor for any fuel leakage or spillage in Monday morning's operations.
