Q: Why should I tint my home or business?

A: Whether you have an air conditioning system or not, tint will create a cool and comfortable environment within your home or business. If you do have a/c, you get the added benefit of energy savings because your a/c does not have to work as hard to cool your house.

All 3M films stop ninety nine percent of harmful ultraviolet rays. UV rays cause carpeting, furniture, wood floors, artwork, and other household items to fade prematurely. UV rays also cause skin cancer, which is why American Cancer Society recommends window film as a preventative measure.

Q: Why should I use 3M window film?

A: 3M is a name you can trust. They are not a "here today, gone tomorrow" company. They carry the industries best life time warranty covering BOTH labor and materials. This means once you install 3M window film on your home you will never pay again!

Q: How much can I expect to spend?

A:  First, ESTIMATES ARE FREE! Second, 3M offers a wide variety of films to fit all tastes AND budgets. Third, the energy savings you will receive after you install 3M window film will pay for itself.

Q: Won't window tint obscure my view?

A: No, not if you install 3M window films. All 3M films are engineered to be color stable, so they will not fade, crack, or change color.  We are so confident that 3M warranties cover it.

Q: How long will it take to tint my home?

A: It depends on two things, the amount and the accessibility of the windows. Most residential homes take one working day.

Q: Is there such a thing as hurricane window film? How does it work?

A: Yes. 3M manufactures the highest quality safety and security films on the market. These films come in both clear and tinted versions to cover all needs and tastes. 3M safety films are designed to make glass shatter-resistant by holding the glass pieces together when broken, preventing dangerous shards of glass from flying and causing injury. They are built using a special micro-layered polyester technology which increases the films' tear resistance significantly.

Q: Can window film make my glass bullet-proof?

A: NO!! This was a dangerous and irresponsible advertisement ploy by a company and should never be told to any client.

Q: When I tint my windows will people be able to see into my home or office?

A: The darkness or reflectivity of the window film you choose can give you a higher degree of privacy during the day. However, at night when it is dark outside and your lights are on, the privacy is lessened. If privacy is a concern, we offer our Fasara line of window films that allow light in without being able to see in. There are designs that look like rice paper, a dot matrix, or stripes. There are also vinyl films in various colors that can block the view completely.

Q: What kind of certifications should I expect from a tinting company?

A: All commercial and residential tinting companies should have a C-22 or C-22a contractor's license. It is also a good idea to check if the company you hire has the proper level of insurance to work on your project.
